We are delighted to welcome Ali Blackwell to the Hub team.
Ali joins us as our new cook in the café and she will be providing delicious hot and cold food to our customers.
Ali lives on the outskirts of Salisbury and is mum to a 13 year old daughter, Izzy. Ali will also be helping run the shop on some Saturdays in due course. Ali likes to interact with people in her work so she will be a great asset to the team and she looks forward to meeting you and getting to know you.
She will be joining us on 2nd February. We know that you will make her very welcome.
Cook Frozen Meals
Many of you have heard already that we will soon be stocking the Cook range of frozen meals and we are very happy to confirm that this is indeed the case. The Cook representative visited the Hub in early January and she was happy that our shop is just the type of retail outlet they welcome to stock their products.
You will find the Cook freezers just inside the door from the shop to the café. Cook frozen meals will be available for purchase from February 2nd. We will be stocking one and two portion sized main courses. We anticipate that these will be very popular and we are excited about this great addition to our product range.
Get Involved…
Once again we are appealing for a community minded adult to get involved with the running of the Hub by becoming our secretary. Terry Jolly has held this role for many years but is ready to stand down and pass the baton on.
The roll requires someone who would work to ensure the smooth running of our organisation, in particular, preparing compliance documents for filing online, preparing agendas and minutes of meetings, processing share applications, maintaining the share register, dealing with insurance and ensuring compliance with our Rules.
Terry is happy to be involved in providing some training. We’re looking for someone who is happy to work on a voluntary basis as part of a team, share knowledge and help to arrive at consensus decisions.
The secretary does not just carry out administrative tasks but can actively take part in the running of the Hub so it is a rewarding post.
Please contact:
- Derek Brown (derek.brown45@btinternet.com) if you are interested, or
- Terry Jolly (terry.jolly23@gmail.com) if you wish to know more.
