Scheduled Maintenance
We need to give notice that there will be some work carried out on the drains serving the building which will take a couple of weeks. The exact start date and time frame is not known at this stage but will be very soon. We hope that we will not need to close the Hub but there will be a temporary reduction in parking spaces which will be needed by contractors. The area to the east of the Hub used to access the back door to the building will not be accessible until the work is complete. Once the work is done, we are confident that the problems we have had with the drains for some years will be a thing of the past.
Kings Award for Voluntary Service
Buckingham Palace Garden Party
Many of you have been wondering which two lucky people from the Hub will, following the Kings Award for Voluntary Service announcement, represent the Hub at a garden party at Buckingham Palace. We decided that the first ticket should go to Tony Patel who gives so much time, effort and funds to the Hub. We held a ballot with names of volunteers for the second ticket, and the winning name which came out of the hat was Karen Hitchings who volunteers in the shop on a regular basis and has done for several years. We wish it were possible for all volunteers to enjoy this huge privilege but sadly it is not possible. We look forward to hearing all about the event which will take place in May.
Dates for Your Diary…
We have two events to announce which will be held at the Hub;

Wine Tasting Event
We are holding another of our popular wine tasting evenings at the Hub on 25th April at 6.00pm.
As before, the evening will be a light-hearted test of your wine knowledge and your palate; whilst tasting, you will be given three different descriptions of the wine from our panel of three people, and the challenge will be to identify which description is correct.
There will be some delicious cheeses to try provided by the Salisbury-based Diligent Frog Company. Amongst other wines, we will feature wines which have recently been labelled for us which will soon be on sale at the Hub. There will be special offers for orders taken for purchases during the evening.
Our wine tasing evenings have been very popular in the past so buy your tickets whilst they are available. Tickets now available at £20 per person from the Hub.

Storytelling ~ Hannah Moore
Our second event is a story telling morning for adults which should be entertaining. Storyteller Hannah Moore will be at the Hub on Thursday 10 April between 12.00pm and 1.00pm when she will be offering an hour of enchanting folk tales and captivating stories for all ages. This is a free event; no need to book, just turn up. The café will be open as usual.
